These mini bacon, prawn and avocado kebabs are like someone said, “let’s take all the best keto items and grill them on a skewer!” Bacon? “Yes please!” Prawns? “Yes please!” Avocado? “Oh, stop it, now you are just showing off!” They are a little finicky to make, but totes worth it in the end. A fun, tasty appetiser at your next braai (BBQ). Please note though, that tamari is used in this marinade and soy is not permitted on keto, hence my keeping this titled as low carb. Be sure to check out all the other Light meals & Appetisers on the site.
Bacon, prawn and avocado kebabs to snack on at a BBQ to replace the crisps and carb-laden snacks. This recipe makes 20 mini skewers and the macros (2.9g carbs per serving) are calculated as 1 serving being 2 skewers
Squeeze a lemon over your chopped avocado, then wrap each avocado cube with a half rasher of bacon. Skewer a prawn onto a mini kebab stick, followed by the bacon-wrapped avocado, and then a second prawn.
In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, tamari and crushed garlic. Use a silicon pastry brush to baste the kebabs with the marinade and grill over the braai (BBQ) until the bacon has cooked sufficiently.
Serve immediately with halved limes to generously squeeze over. Season with a little Pink Himalayan Salt.

Here in the UK, our nutritional breakdown information displays a carbohydrate count that has already had the dietary fibre subtracted (and displayed separately) - and it's indicated this way throughout the site. In short, you need not subtract anything further.
